Adriana Róze began her acting career (as Adriana Rowe) when she was three, singing the role of Molly in Southern California Productions of Annie. Growing up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she did many shows with Musical Theatre Southwest including Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, Evita, and The Wizard of Oz. Highland High School brought the opportunity to play Golde in Fiddler on the Roof, Jaques in As You Like It, and Fania Fenelon in Arthur Miller's Playing for Time.
Adriana received a B.F.A. in Acting at the University of New Mexico, where she played lead roles in Becoming Memories, The House of Bernarda Alba, Hydrogen Jukebox, and A Murder of Crows by Mac Wellman. Her role as Charlotte Corday in Marat/Sade garnered critical acclaim and the production was awarded the Albuquerque Arts Alliance Bravo Award.
Adriana performed the role of Christine Daaé in the Southwest Premiere of Kopit/Yeston's Phantom with Musical Theatre Southwest. Other roles with MTW include Rapunzel in Into the Woods and Johanna in Sweeney Todd. She joined Riverside Theatre Company as Titania in their production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Regionally, Adriana has performed with the prestigious Goodspeed Opera House as Jane in the World Premiere of Gotham, which she later reprised in New York. At the New London Playhouse in CT, she played Elsa in The Sound of Music, Diana in Lend Me a Tenor, and Carlotta in Phantom.
Adriana produced, directed, and starred in the very first concert production of Jonathan Larson's musical Rent as a fundraiser for the Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation. Her performance as Maureen not only brought her second Bravo Award for Performance of the Year, but also a job in New York City as archivist for the Larson estate. New York brought roles in Jonathan Larson's 1/2 MT House at Manhattan Theatre Club, cabarets at Don't Tell Mama's and Rose's Turn, and Durufle's Requiem at Carnegie Hall.
Adriana currently resides in Los Angeles, where she has reprised the role of Charlotte Corday in Marat/Sade, this time at the Tamarind Theatre in Hollywood. She has worked with the Ziggurat Theatre on Maria Morevna and can be seen as the crazed babysitter in the film The Hollywood Babysitter. Her recent role as Jessica Gatewood in the West Coast Premiere of the musical Splendora at the Celebration Theatre garnered rave reviews from Out Magazine and the Los Angeles Times. She is currently starring as the caustic Nurse Ratknee in the web series Space Hospital.
Adriana can be heard on the original cast album of R.E.M. Cycle on Scamp Records. She is the lead singer and songwriter for the rock band The Endless, who have released three albums: the Republic of Heaven, Grumpy Ghost, & ...and i'm the queen of the moon. She is currently writing and recording their fourth album, Somniloquy, to be released Summer of 2008.
